Wow, what a day! It was our longest ride of the day at 125 miles. There have only been a few times in my life where I have really been physically pushed and today was one of them. Our cycling coach that helped us train loved running Ironman's, which consist of a 2.5 mile swim, a 26 mile run, and 112 mile bike ride. It is cool to think that today we completed the cyclist portion of the Ironman race. Terrain ranged from farmlands to rolling hills to mountains to suburbs. We faced a brutally headwind from the North at 6-10 mph throughout the entire 10.5 hour bike ride as we went Northeast to Salt Lake City. People love riding behind me because I am such a big body and block the wind for the cyclists behind me. We left the high school at 5:55am and got into lodging at around 4:15pm. That's a lot of time spent in the saddle and the booty was not feeling too great. Thank goodness we have a rest day tomorrow! We ate at a local pizza place called The Pie. The meal was sponsored by the father of a cyclist who had ridden North a few years ago. He was out of town, but was happy to front the $400 tab. The generosity and kindness of the people we have met on this trip has been so inspiring. A part of me feels guilty for being treated so nicely at these dinners, but it is the sponsors who are the ones who are continually thanking us for the work that we do. I have also had complete strangers say the nicest words to our group when they ask who were are and what we represent. Our team had an early night as we all fell asleep in the gym while having a movie watch party.

ain't no mountain high enough for us

my jersey is way too small for me

find yourself a girl who looks at you the way Alan looks at pizza
