Hey everyone, this is Brando Dill, one of Andrew Kaskie's friend. Denver was a relaxing time to be off of the bike and see his family. What a sweet couple the Kaskie's are. They have such a heart for this philanthropy and for supporting their son. That is all.
It felt wonderful being able to sleep in a bed in a hotel! Shoutout to Mountaingate for sponsoring lodging and hosting a great breakfast for the North and Trans teams and their parents. We walked from the Marriot to a skyscraper in downtown Denver where we saw a presentation about Mountaingate, the main sponsor of our team and Bruce Roger's company. The office is located on the top floor of the building, and we were able to see views of all of Denver. It was cool being able to see the mountains in the distance that we had descended the previous day. I also was surprised to see that I got a mail package from Emily and her family wishing me well on my journey! We had the entire day after breakfast to ourselves, and my parents booked me a massage at Massage Envy. I felt ten times lighter walking out. We decided that we would go visit Colorado Dental School in Aurora, as it is one of the schools I applied to and wanted to see the campus. It was about 30 minutes outside of Denver and next to all of the other healthcare schools, with the mountains in the distance. I was very impressed with the campus and can picture myself thriving there. After going back to the hotel and taking a nap, my parents treated me to an amazing dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Finally, we ventured to the capitol building in Denver, where we joined thousands of other people to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. We finished one of the best days of the summer by going to Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory.
