We slept in until 8! UNTIL 8! Wow, how refreshing. There were really no plans for the off day at Rocky Mountain Village camp except hangout with the campers. This camp is a hidden gem situated just off I-70 at the base of a mountain range. Each squad was assigned to a specific cabin of campers and counselors for the activities of the day. Some of them included fishing, basketball, rock climbing, ziplining, and arts/crafts. Our group was lucky to go swimming and have a 2 hour dance party. I am not the best dancer, but boy, have I improved in both confidence and abilities. In the future, I will have no qualms in being the first person out on the dance floor in any given bar or event. Cool cap is forever off thanks to JOH. I also rode my first ever tandem bike with Henry around the camp. A part of me thinks it would be hilarious if we rode a tandem bike across the country. After dinner, a musician named Jake Jabs came to play a few songs at the outdoor concert venue. We were only here for 2 nights, but I'm going to miss this camp. The environment and activities bring back memories of my time volunteering at Camp PALS. Onto Denver with the parents!
