Another 70 miles, another 70 pushups. Several team members have undertaken the pushup challenge, where a person does a pushup for every mile on the road. Come DC, our legs are going to be massive, but we need to stay toned in the upper body as well. What do you expect? We are all in a frat. We hit the hills coming out of Napa quite early on in the day. The views from on top were beautiful overlooking all the wineries. Around 35 miles into the ride, the terrain flattened and we cruised to the fi

nish for an early day around 1pm. Walmart run was a necessity as I loaded up on cinnamon graham crackers and peanut butter for my post-ride snacks. We then went to a community center for a friendship visit where we did arts and crafts with a few of the residents. The whole group painted a small keychain in the shape of California to celebrate 20 years of friendship visits at this place. Then, unexpectedly, a man from Channel 3 News showed up to interview our team after hearing about Journey of Hope. I was thrilled to have been a representative who was interviewed. I had never done a TV interview before and was asked questions regarding our mission, my reasons for doing the journey, and the ride thus far. Check out KRC Sacramento Channel 3 for my bit!
