I feel like I have already decided where I will want to eventually live. I remember going skiing in Steamboat with my brothers and dad about seven years ago, but all of the memories came back once we rolled into town after 40 miles. I had never visited a ski resort in Colorado during the summertime so it was a new sight for me to see the green mountains. Steamboat Springs is far enough from Denver where a lot of out-of-staters stay away so it is a really close local community. We biked along a path where groups were white water rafting and saw dogs everywhere. We arrived to the Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports center around lunch time. This organization provides opportunities for people with disabilities to go skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and more. They are currently in the process of constructing a 6.5 million dollar facility and have already raised 5.7 million through the generosity of donors. One of the highlights of the visit was being able to try out the adaptive bikes for individuals who have lower functioning parts of their bodies. We then had the opportunity to participate in a wiffle ball game with our buddy, Robert. From there, our group had an outdoor pizza dinner at the Horizon's center, a local organization that works with people with disabilities. Afterward, our group and members of Horizon drove to Fish Creek, where we then hiked to a beautiful waterfall. Finally, to end the night, Chase's parents treated our group to ice cream and candy. Steamboat Springs was my favorite visit of this trip and would love to own a condo there someday.

Don't go chasing waterfalls

The longest continually functioning ski slope in North America.

Finally giving our vans a much needed car wash!
