35 miler, beginning with a delicious breakfast from Crew Chief Chef Antonio peanut butter bagels and bananas. It was a mild ascent out of Lake Tahoe followed by a high grade descent down into Nevada. The views were again incredible as the winding road stretched down into Nevada with the Sierra mountains in the distance. We got into Carson City by 11AM, where we went straight to the Boy's and Girl's Club of Western Nevada. We pull our bikes in to found what seemed like two hundred kids waving us in and holding Journey of Hope signs. For the next several hours, the North team mingled with the kids by playing backyard games and eating lunch. I made a few guy friends who kept challenging me to races and a few girls who talked about what is was like growing up in Carson City and who wouldn't stop chasing me. We settled into lodging at Carson High School and then went to a sponsored dinner at Western Nevada College. We put back on our gear to do another arrival as we were welcomed by staff from the college. The college president, a coordinator for an organization for developmental disabilities, and Miss Carson City all spoke to us and thanked us for our efforts. We were then presented an award signed by the Governor of Nevada recognizing our hard work in raising awareness for our cause. We ended the night playing a 4 v 4 basketball tournament in the gymnasium. Also, huge shoutout to the rents for sending me a delicious care package full of goodies!

The two guys I rode with today with the Sierra Nevada mountains in the background!

I've never been one for mirror pics but man, my hair is gettin' long!
